A Slow Boat to Nowhere
On July 4, we decided to take the ferry-boat tour of the Loxahatchee, designated as a "Wild and Scenic River."  The scenery was beautiful, but most of the native wildlife had found more hospitable quarters for the summer, and low tide kept us from reaching the highlight of the tour, the restored homestead of early settler Trapper Nelson.  Still, we had a nice time together, and the pictures are pretty.  Next time, we go in winter and get canoes.
