Finalists!
Terrific tournament to kick off the season.   This page has group action shots and a brief tournament summary.  Despite the rain which plagued us all tournament, I got some decent action shots and some GREAT family shots.

Summary
Great level of competition in the A Division of this tournament:  8 of the 10 Classic I teams for Fall 2001, 4 Classic II teams, and 4 out-of-state teams with strong records.  In our bracket, we played Concorde Silver (W11-0), Dallas Inter '90 Blue (T1-1), and Gwinnett Soccer Assoc. Red (W7-0).  We met W. Gwinnett Sting Red in the Semifinal (W4-1).  Then we lost a squeaker to TYSA (L0-1) in a rain-drenched final.  Overall a proud start for the season. 

It was a great tournament for United Quest.  We had 10 teams in the semifinals, and captured four championships, including U12 White Boys, U13 Red Girls (Warren's sister),  U13 Red Boys and U12 Red Girls.

More GSA Action

The refs had the contestants in the semi-final match (Quest vs. West Gwinnett Sting Black) march in and line up to greet the crowd.  Very nice touch.

This picture is fuzzy, but I think it's a goal happening!
