Home  | Album Cisco Systems treated a team from Optus to a night at the Barbara Streisand Concert held in Sydney on 10 March, 2000.  The night was rainy, and the concert was outdoors, but we were outfitted with ponchos and had a wonderful time.  Before the concert, we had dinner at the Sydney Cricket Club, a marvelous historic building next to the concert venue.   The concert was held at the Sydney Football Stadium to an audience of over 35,000.  According to her Official Website, she basically performed her New Year's Eve show, with some of the patter adjusted to appeal to the local crowd.  I managed to take these pictures in the stadium without using a flash.  The stadium set-up before the concert and during the show.  Large screens on both sides made visibility easy in the huge stadium Barbra got all wet in the first half and came out after the intermission wearing a bush hat and suede jacket instead of her planned evening gown.  Very Oz.
