Rocky Mountain Oyster-Eating Contest

We drove to Nederland, CO in early March to experience the Frozen Dead Guy Days festival. Read more about it here.

A highlight was the contest to eat the most rocky mountain oysters (they ain't seafood!).

The First Street Pub & Grill was packed for the event.

They're fried up to look like chicken strips, but don't be fooled.

Those things were tough and chewy

Maybe a little water will help

Not sure she likes this very much...

But she got one down!

The MC tried one after the contest was over

This nice couple just moved here from Alaska. He came in second in the "salmon-tossing" event.
